Anderson Powers Past Franklin

The Anderson University men's basketball team (13-8, 11-3) powered past Franklin College (12-9, 8-6) with a 77-58 wire-to-wire victory during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

COACH CARTER COLLINS'S COMMENTS

This was a perfect "get right" game for us to get back on track. I was pretty happy with how we executed on both sides of the ball, and we got great contributions from everyone - to the point where it was difficult for me to pick who to play down the stretch. Now that we've got a little momentum going again, we'll look to finish the season strong, and that starts with our game on Wednesday night at home against Defiance.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•Anderson knocked down 14-of-35 (40 percent) shots from 3-point range while Franklin was held to 22.7-percent (5-of-22) shooting from the perimeter.

•The Ravens converted 26-of-58 (44.8 percent) shots from the field while the Grizzlies hit 22-of-56 (39.3 percent) attempts from the floor.

•The Ravens hit 11-of-20 (55 percent) shots from the free-throw line while the Grizzlies made 9-of-19 (47.4 percent) attempts.
